March 28, 2015: The Walter K locomotive rolls by Boot Hill Cemetery and underneath the Pony Express roller coaster at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. This was taken with my not-so-new 16-megapixel HTC Re camera, an accessory that works with your smartphone (in my case an HTC one M7).

While the initial quality of shots taken with the HTC Re is not spectacular, some quick editing with an app like Snapseed will instantly make them better. It’s been the best photo-editing app I’ve used with Re camera shots and what I used for this one.

Although it is fixed-focus, the Re offers lots of versatility: ultra-wide angle mode (this was shot in Standard mode), HD video, time-lapse, slow-motion capture and it is waterproof when used with the appropriate accessory kit. It’s quite a cool little gadget.

I’ve taken so many shots with it and will be posting more as I find them.

What do you think of the quality? Keep in mind I bump the resolution down a notch when posting here.
